The new iPhone 18 colors might have been confirmed online, thanks to a recent post from well–known leaker Sonny Dickson on X, which was shared in response to a report on MacRumours. After last year’s impressive Cosmic Orange, setting a high standard was always going to be difficult. However, based on the latest image, it seems Apple is moving in a completely new direction.
The post shows three SIM trays in Silver, Sky Blue, and a deep Dark Cherry.
While an earlier hint from Dickson suggested a classic black option, it’s possible that model was just an early prototype, as he mentioned in the comments. We’ll know for sure when Apple officially unveils the lineup on September 9.
Opinions online are mixed.
Some are disappointed with the more subdued color choices, while others are hopeful for a black model. Some people argue that color isn’t the most important factor, especially since most users will use a case. However, with some premium iPhone cases featuring clear sections that reveal parts of the phone, the actual design can still make a difference if you’re looking for it.
The real question, though, is whether the iPhone 18 will face the same scratch issues as the iPhone 17.
We’re all waiting with great interest to find out.
